My name is Suzanne Forsberg, founder and owner of The Food Thinkery. My passion is helping people think about food. You can enjoy eating and improve your nutrition by learning how to sort through all the health claims in the media and by developing a personal, positive food philosophy.
I am a registered and licensed dietitian, certified diabetes educator with a masters degree in counseling, and a certificate in weight management, but most of all I like to think of myself as a thinker and as an encouraging professional who works with you to develop a program and philosophy that will work for you.
I've answered several of the questions I am frequently asked below. If you're still curious, please feel free to send me a quick message. I'd love the opportunity to connect with you. Ultimately, I'm certain that your positive actions will make a difference in your life! I'm here to help.
Thank you for visiting The Food Thinkery,
-Suzanne

In the Greek play, The Clouds, the name of Socrates's house where he trained the philosophers was called The Thinkery. I believe thinking and using our God given eyes, ears and minds can help us sort through much of the false teachings in the world.
Why food and thinking?
Everyone has a food philosophy whether they know it or not. I help people consider their food philosophy because what we think and believe is what we will put into action.
How many years have you been in the field of nutrition?
Including schooling, I have been in the field for 37 years, lived in Canada and Japan as well as all over the US. As a former gymnast, I coached high school gymnastics, taught children gymnastics, and worked in the restaurant industry. Presently, I work in the clinical area of nutrition and dialysis.
What would you call your own food philosophy?
I would call myself a combination Biblitarian and Flexitarian. The title of my thesis was, "The Bible contains everything necessary for counseling people on eating and drinking. I truly believe the answers to everything in life are in the Bible. Even if one does not believe in the Bible, they cannot deny what Jesus says works.
